Rock the District
What is Rock the District? When Melissa Nelson attended a PSI Basic leadership seminar this past June, she made a commitment to a ‘stretch-yourself’ goal: She wanted to organize a teen concert to raise money and raise awareness of the importance of music education for youth. The “Rock the District” concert on September 19th was borne out of Melissa’s vision, where she and her fellow talented students are selling tickets to a Rockin’ concert where they will play fun, contemporary family-friendly music on their chosen instruments, and hopefully raise a chunk of money for the music programs at Cave Creek Unified School District.
